ROBERT MILLNER
Tenor

Robert Millner received his M.A. from Trinity College Cambridge. He then studied with Thomas Hemsley and Paul Hamburger at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, after which he took 3 years Private Vocal Tuition with Franco Corelli in Milan, Italy. He currently studies with Peter Harrison. 

Robert Millner’s engagements have included appearances with Garden Opera, London City Opera, European Chamber Opera, Co-opera Ireland, Northern Opera, Cambridge Opera, Music Theatre London, Royal Opera, National Youth and Music Theatre London, Vietnam Opera House, Glyndebourne Touring Opera, Glyndebourne Festival Opera, British Youth Opera. He has toured throughout the world with repertoire which includes Don Jose CARMEN, Turiddu CAVALLERIA RUSTICANA, Rodolfo LA BOHÈME, Eisenstein and Alfred DIE FLEDERMAUS, Danilo THE MERRY WIDOW, Nemorino L’ELISIR D’AMORE, Ernesto DON PASQUALE, Duke of Mantua RIGOLETTO, Alfredo LA TRAVIATA, Tom Rakewell THE RAKE’S PROGRESS and Ferrando COSI FAN TUTTE.

Previous concert engagements include DIES NATALES with Trinity College Cambridge, the MOZART REQUIEM and the VERDI REQUIEM for the Seychelles International Festival of Classical Music, the SERENADE FOR TENOR, HORN AND STRINGS at the Hermitage Theatre, St. Petersburg.
 
Robert Millner has often been heard on The Miles and Millner Show (BBC Radio 4 – 2 Series) and toured the UK, USA and Germany with BEETHOVEN’S NOT DEAD!, which included performances on BBC 2 and at The Queen’s Hall, Edinburgh as part of The Edinburgh Festival. He also starred in the plays LITTLE MALCOLM and EAST, both directed by Sam Mendes.
