Emanuela Barazia, started singing ancient and baroque music with the Viotti Polyphonic Choir of Vercelli. Following courses at the S.Cordero di Pamparato Institute, and in Lacoste with the Deller Consort of London, she continued her studies at the Genoa Conservatory N. Paganini. and then with Ann English Santucci, Margaret Baker Genovesi and Rolando Nicolosi. Winning the prestigious St. Cecilia Academy Choir Competition gave her the opportunity to sing as a soloist in many concerts. She has enjoyed great success in many competitions including G. B. Pergolesi, and Città di Conegliano in 1992, M. Battistini in 1994, and Citta’ di Roma in 1996.
In 1997 she began her career as a soloist singing Rosina IL BARBIERE DI SIVIGLIA at Gran Teatro La Fenice. Subsequent repertoire includes Belisa in Paisiello’s IL RE TEODORO, Dorabella COSI FAN TUTTE, Adalgisa NORMA, Cherubino LE NOZZE DI FIGARO, Fenena NABUCCO, Giunone in Cavalli’s ERCOLE AMANTE, Paride in Panni’s IL GIUDIZIO DI PARIDE, Waltraute GÖTTERDAMMERUNG, Dido DIDO AND AENEAS Kundry PARSIFAL and in concert Verdi’s REQUIEM, Rossini’s PETITE MESSE SOLENELLE and STABAT MATER , Pergolesi’s STABAT MATER, Beethoven CHORAL SYMPHONY, Schumann’s MANFRED in Rome, Naples, Palermo, Brescia, Bari, Bergamo, Pavia, Cremona, Padua, Piacenza, Como, Ascoli, Brussels, Antwerp, Munich, Wiesbaden, Nice, Tourcoing, Seville, Bangkok and the Tiroler Festspiele,
