SINÉAD CAMPBELL-WALLACE
Soprano

Sinéad Campbell-Wallace graduated with a first class Honours degree in performance from the DIT Conservatory of Music and Drama in 2002. She was awarded the Michael McNamara Gold Medal for outstanding performance, and the DIT Gold Medal for academic excellence. She attended the National Opera Studio in 2004/2005 where her studies were supported by the Friends of Covent Garden and the Nicholas John Trust. In 2003 she received the John Small Bursary at Wexford Festival Opera and an Arts Council of Ireland award. She was a finalist in the Millennium Singer of the Future competition at the National Concert Hall, Dublin and was awarded the French song Prize at the 1999 National Mozart Competition, Southport. She continues her studies in London with Janice Chapman.
 
She has appeared with Wexford Festival Opera, Buxton Festival, The Linbury Theatre ROH, ETO, Opera Ireland, Garsington Opera, Grange Park Opera, Aldeburgh Festival, Classical Opera Company, Opera Theatre Company, Early Opera Company, Pimlico Opera, Diva Opera, Monteverdi Opera Theatre Company, Savoy Opera Company, Nevill Holt Opera, and the Batignano Festival and Como Music Festival in Italy, in repertoire including Pamina DIE ZAUBERFLÖTE, Donna Elvira DON GIOVANNI Countess LE NOZZE DI FIGARO Melia APOLLO AND HYACINTHUS, Title role ALCINA, Venere ASCANIO IN ALBA, Micaela CARMEN, Dafne Handel’s APOLLO E DAFNE, Oriana AMADIGI, Dalinda ARIODANTE, Galatea ACIS AND GALATEA, Giulietta I CAPULETI E I MONTECCHI, Anne Truelove THE RAKE’S PROGRESS, THE NOSE, Drusilla THE CORONATION OF POPPEA, Angelica ORLANDO, Flavia Gemmira in Cavalli’s ELIOGABALO, Inez DIE DREI PINTOS Weber/Mahler (Naxos Recording conducted by Paulo Arrivabene), Monica Menotti’s THE MEDIUM, Mrs. Hayes Floyd’s SUSANNAH, Bubikopf Ullmann’s DER KAISER VON ATLANTIS winner of the 2003 National Theatre Award.
 
Oratorio performances include Vaughan-Williams’ SEA SYMPHONY, Handel’s MESSIAH, and Bach’s CHRISTMAS ORATORIO at the National Concert Hall, Dublin; Rissini’s MESSE SOLLENELLE at Trinity College; Rutter’s REQUIEM conducted by John Rutter; Vivaldi’s GLORIA and Mozart's MASS IN F as part of the 2003 Wexford Festival Opera.
 
Sinéad has sung many recitals including at the Wigmore Hall, the Killaloe Music Festival, Wexford Festival, Bank of Ireland Arts Centre lunchtime recital, and a concert with the National Symphony Orchestra of Ireland.
