BENJAMIN CAHNBass-baritone
Benjamin Cahn is of joint American/German nationality and studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Oberlin Conservatory of Music, USA and on the Chautauqua Institution Voice Program. Most recently he was on the Opera Works Young Singers Programme with English National Opera.
Engagements include Colline LA BOHEME and Filiberto IL SIGNOR BRUSCHINO for British Youth Opera, A Sailor BILLY BUDD for Glyndebourne Festival Opera, Angelotti TOSCA for Magdala Opera, Der Sprecher DIE ZAUBERFLÖTE for Opera Start, Seneca L’INCORONAZIONE DI POPPEA, Dr. Miracle LES CONTES D’HOFFMANN, Don Alfonso COSI FAN TUTTE, and Doctor Grenville LA TRAVIATA for the Chautauqua Institution Voice Program and Frank DIE FLEDERMAUS and Leporello DON GIOVANNI for Oberlin Opera Theatre. He has also covered Masetto DON GIOVANNI for English National Opera and Glyndebourne Festival Opera.
On the concert platform he has performed pieces including Faure’s REQUIEM, Rossini’s PETITE MESSE SOLENNELLE, Mozart’s C MINOR MASS and Haydn’s NELSON MASS.
